I have been busy just lately, and have not had, or made, the time to do my rounds of bloghopping visits. Previous to the big neglect time, I was visiting other blogging friends about once every two weeks.
In response, I was getting about 10% of the bloggers responding back.
So, the last few weeks have given me the opportunity to do a test - my traffic remains about the same as it was before, just growing slowly, as an average.

I have found that if I make political comments about Canadian government matters, the figures do not differ. If I email the interested parties (politicians) the figures do not differ. So, bloggers, if you want one bit of advice, avoid politics, at least Canadian politics, as it seems that the Canadian politicians are so disinterested in what the public thinks, that they don't even look to see what is being said!

I have found that if I make political comments about US politics, the traffic increases very slightly. But the best results were when I mentioned Google or Search Engine Optimization. This will generally bring a little jump to traffic figures, but if continued, seems to result in drops in traffic, although I might be incorrect in saying that.

So, I will try to see if these trends continue - I suspect that my figures might be incorrect, as I have not tested for long enough, nor with enough repeats of the tests to verify the results, as my observations are just secondary - I did not actually set up the subject matter as specific for a test.
