The Filipino product consuming trick might not actually be the fault of the Filipino, but I am happy to make the assumption that it is, just so that I can make fun of my Missus and her sister.
Most products that are consumable, such as dishwasher soap, clothes washing soap/detergent, that sort of thing, have instructions on how much to use.
Now, nine times out of ten, if the product is a liquid, the amount will be less than a full measuring cap. The manufacturers do this, because they know that if the instructions are not looked at, then a full cap will be used, equal to a fresh purchase sooner, and more profit.
The Filipina, in her quest for an even cleaner than clean lifestyle, will always add a little to what is needed. If a full cup is need, she will use a cup and a half or two. If half a cup is needed, she will use a full one - and so it is with the measuring caps on liquid products. But, I have a plan, hehehe it is called dilution!!! hehehe!
